Basketball Game Preview: Times Squared Academy Eagles vs. Mt. Hope Huskies

Times Squared Academy is 0-5 against Mt. Hope since January of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Times Squared Academy Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Mt. Hope Huskies at 6:00 p.m. Times Squared Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Mt. Hope likes a good challenge.

Last Thursday, in a tight contest that could have gone either way, Times Squared Academy made off with a 59-58 victory over Central Falls.

Times Squared Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Yomy Garcia led the charge by putting up 16 points. Justin Urey was another key player, scoring 14 points.

Meanwhile, Mt. Hope posted their closest win since January 26, 2024 on Monday. They skirted past Woonsocket 49-47.

Mt. Hope has also been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Times Squared Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.

Times Squared Academy came up short against Mt. Hope in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 68-59. Can Times Squared Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
