The Community Academy of Philadelphia The Bruins won the last time they faced the International Christian Titans, and things went their way on Thursday too. Community Academy of Philadelphia snuck past International Christian with a 49-44 win.
Gabriel Gonzalez had a dynamite game for Community Academy of Philadelphia, going 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 5 assists. The contest was Gonzalez's third in a row with at least ten points. Randy Hidalgo-Paulino was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with four steals.
Community Academy of Philadelphia now has a winning record of 2-1. As for International Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Community Academy of Philadelphia will face off against Valley Forge Military Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Valley Forge Military Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season. International Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Community Academy of Philadelphia at 4:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
