Baseball Recap: Deerfield Starts Season with Win Against Edgerton

Deerfield took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Edgerton Crimson Tide 2-1.

Deerfield's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Landon Brattlie, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Coming up, Deerfield will square off against Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Edgerton, they will be playing at home against Oregon at 10:00 a.m. on the 12th.
