Recap: Shadow Mountain Matadors vs. Moon Valley Rockets
The Shadow Mountain Matadors suffered their biggest loss since December 15, 2023 on Thursday. Their rough 60-40 defeat to Moon Valley might stick with them for a while. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Shadow Mountain of the 65-42 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.
Shadow Mountain's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Pierce Rogers, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds, and Tate Newport who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two blocks.

Another player making a difference was Hayden Turberville, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Shadow Mountain bumped their record down to 2-14 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Moon Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season.
