Softball Game Preview: Galt Warriors vs. Argonaut Mustangs

The Galt Warriors will take on the Argonaut Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Galt has given up an average of 8.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Galt came up short against Amador on Thursday, falling 15-2.

Galt saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rianna Mayer, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

Meanwhile, while Argonaut put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Bradshaw Christian. Argonaut blew past Bradshaw Christian 10-0. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won four games by six runs or more so far this season.

The result came thanks to Hailey Dewald's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on AJ Schultz, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two triples. That home run was her first of the season. Bri Bowers was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and one double.

Argonaut's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Galt, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
