Top 150 prospect Greg Johnson commits to USC

Trojans land six on Signing Day, including talented RB/DB in package deal from Hawkins in Los Angeles.

Future USC Trojan can do a little bit of everything.

Greg Johnson of Hawkins (Los Angeles, Calif.) announced his college commitment live with MaxPreps on Wednesday, choosing to stay by home and suit up for USC.

Teammate Joseph Lewis, a five-star wide receiver prospect, also announced his intentions to play for the Trojans during the ceremony.

Johnson is regarded as the No. 102 overall prospect by 247Sports. He selected the Trojans over Nebraska and Oregon.



The 5-foot-10, 185-pound athlete recorded 55 tackles and five interceptions on defense this season. He also rushed for 1,377 yards and recorded 19 total touchdowns in leading the 13-1 Hawks to the Los Angeles City Section Division II title game.

Johnson was
 named the Los Angeles City Section Division II Player of the Year and earned MaxPreps Medium School second team All-American honors.
