Volleyball Recap: Cheraw Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cheraw can now relate to. They came up short against the Evangel Christian Academy Eagles on Friday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Cheraw was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 25-21.

Evangel Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Bailey Roberts, who had 12 digs.

Cheraw has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-10 record this season. As for Evangel Christian Academy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-4.

As of now, neither Cheraw nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
