Softball Recap: Nimitz Takes a Loss

Nimitz came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Poteet Pirates, falling 12-3.

Chloe Coronado was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two).

Nimitz's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Poteet, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record.

Coincidentally, Nimitz and Poteet will both be playing Whitehouse the next time they take the field. Poteet will head out to face Whitehouse at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, while Nimitz will play them later in the day, at 9:00 a.m.
