Auburn got themselves on the board against Beauregard on Tuesday, but Beauregard never followed suit. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Hornets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-2 back in March.
Lily Brewer looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Auburn saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daley Alsobrook, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Auburn's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-14. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Beauregard, their loss dropped their record down to 24-11.
