Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northeastern). They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the West Liberty-Salem Tigers on Monday. For the Jets, this counts as revenge for the 7-1 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Northeastern and bumps their season record up to 2-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for West Liberty-Salem, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3.

Northeastern will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
