Volleyball Recap: Stoughton Vikings vs. Portage Warriors

Stoughton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Portage Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Christina Geltemeyer was the offensive standout of the contest as she had five digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September. Trinity Williams also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Stoughton's loss dropped their record down to 7-28. As for Portage, their record now sits at 19-14.

Stoughton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against McFarland on the 11th. As for Portage, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Mount Horeb on the 11th.
