Football Game Preview: Carson Colts vs. Kennedy Thunderbirds + How To Watch

Carson is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Kennedy is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Colts will host the Thunderbirds at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Jace Demacabalin and Cristian Hernandez. Demacabalin rushed for 206 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 9.0 yards per carry while Hernandez rushed for 160 yards and one TD on only seven carries. Hernandez's longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Kennedy's run defense was locked in: Independence could only muster zero yards per carry. The team can thank Jesus Palma for the heroic effort on defense: he. Kennedy didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 10.5.

Carson's record now sits at 10-3. As for Kennedy, their record is now 11-3.

Saturday's contest might be decided on the ground. Carson has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 206.2 rushing yards per game.
