After a string of four wins, Menendez's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Chiles Timberwolves by a score of 3-1. The Falcons were not able to make up for their loss to the Timberwolves from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

AJ Grueser was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Menendez's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Chiles, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Menendez will look to defend their home field on Monday against Bell County at 7:00 p.m. As for Chiles, they will face off against Bishop Kenny at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
