Football Recap: Arbor View Falls Despite Big Games from Jayda Emil and Priscilla Garcia

If Arbor View was feeling good fresh off their 48-0 takedown of Chaparral last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Arbor View Aggies lost 26-6 to the Shadow Ridge Mustangs on Friday. The Aggies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 20-0.

Priscilla Garcia and Jayda Emil certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Garcia threw for 128 yards and one touchdown, while Emil picked up 43 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Aubree Davis looked great while leading her team to the win, throwing for 159 yards and three touchdowns. What's more, she also racked up 14 rushing yards, the most she's had since back in December of 2023. Shadow Ridge also got help from Jaylani Palmer, who showed off her sure hands for 97 receiving yards.

Arbor View's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Shadow Ridge, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.

Arbor View will take on Basic in a tournament on December 20th. As for Shadow Ridge, they will head out to challenge Las Vegas at 4:30 p.m. on December 20th. Shadow Ridge is facing Las Vegas at the right time seeing as Las Vegas is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
