The matchup between Heritage and Lapeer on Friday hardly resembled the 10-7 effort from their previous meeting. The Hawks put the hurt on the Lightning with a sharp 42-20 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Braedyn Boell was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 49 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 213 yards and a pair of TDs on perfect 6-for-6 passing.

Heritage's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Lapeer, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-3.
