Baseball Recap: Mingus Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Mingus had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 9-2 to the Apollo Hawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Marauders have suffered since March 29, 2024.

Carter Wacker was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Apollo's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Coming up, Mingus will be taking part in a tournament against Sunrise Mountain at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Apollo, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will face off against Browne at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
