Volleyball Game Preview: Bishop Ward Cyclones vs. Maranatha Christian Academy Eagles

Bishop Ward is 0-10 against Maranatha Christian Academy since October of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Cyclones will be playing at home against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m.

Bishop Ward's tournament run continued when they took on Riverton on Saturday. The Cyclones took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-8.

Meanwhile, Maranatha Christian Academy entered their tilt with St. Mary's-Colgan on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0.

Maranatha Christian Academy not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept St. Mary's-Colgan to exactly 20 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20.

Maranatha Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 33-4-2. As for Bishop Ward, their loss dropped their record down to 3-17-7.

Bishop Ward might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Maranatha Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Cyclones avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
