Castle is 9-1 against Evansville Harrison since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Knights will take on the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Castle is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

Castle is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Apollo, who was ranked 14th in their home state at the time (Castle was ranked 19th). The Knights came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 5-1 on Wednesday.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Evansville Harrison and North Posey, and Evansville Harrison kept the tradition alive. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over the Vikings on Wednesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Warriors' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

The team relied heavily on Darien Matos Romero, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kannen Bard, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

Castle's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Evansville Harrison, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.

Castle couldn't quite get it done against Evansville Harrison when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-0. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
