Soccer Recap: Puckett's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pisgah, Puckett was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Mendenhall Tigers a 7-0 shutout. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Wolves' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Puckett moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Mendenhall, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Puckett and Hazlehurst will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hazlehurst will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Puckett surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mendenhall, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Mendenhall take on the Forest at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
