Basketball Recap: Wellington-Napoleon Comes Up Short

Wellington-Napoleon was the 46-31 winner over Lexington when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Wellington-Napoleon Tigers were beaten by the Lexington Minutemen 59-24 on Friday. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-11.

Despite the loss, Wellington-Napoleon still got an impressive performance from Brilynn Zykan, who posted 13 points and seven rebounds.

Even though they lost, Wellington-Napoleon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive games.
