1A District 3 Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Mason Williams Dazzles in Providence School Victory

Starting off the list is Providence School's Mason Williams, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Williams rushed for 238 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 120 yards on eight of 15 attempts. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.

Williams is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against University Christian on Thursday. Back in October (the last time Williams saw the Christians), he threw for 259 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per attempt.

Josh Bruton and Co. Win Fourth in a Row

University Christian picked up their fourth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Josh Bruton. Bruton did his part (and then some), rushing for 143 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.4 yards per carry for the 'W'.

Bruton might have his next game, a road matchup with Providence School, circled on his calendar. When Bruton last faced the Stallions back in October, he rushed for 145 yards and six touchdowns.

Jenoa Alford Makes It Two for University Christian

Another University Christian player making an appearance on this list is Jenoa Alford. He picked up 56 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Alford and University Christian will square off against Providence School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Christians got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Stallions, probably because Alford had a solid game then too: he picked up 120 receiving yards. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
