After flying high against Pamlico County last Monday, East Carteret came back down to earth. The East Carteret Mariners fell 2-0 to the Lejeune Devil Pups on Wednesday. The Mariners haven't had much luck with the Devil Pups recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
East Carteret's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12-1. As for Lejeune, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-5-1.
East Carteret has already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Jones on the 28th. As for Lejeune, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 10-0 win against Pamlico County on the 29th.
