Johnson waltzed into their match on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 53-52 W against the Mahtomedi Zephyrs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Governors have posted since February 8, 2024.

Johnson's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-6. As for Mahtomedi, they moved to 13-10 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Johnson will head out on the road to square off against DeLaSalle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. DeLaSalle knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 27 contests -- so hopefully Johnson likes a good challenge. Mahtomedi does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
