Baseball Recap: Carl Albert Takes a Loss

Carl Albert came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-0 to the Owasso Rams. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Carl Albert got a good showing from Adam Head, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Carl Albert saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Hawkins, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Hawkins has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.

With the defeat, Carl Albert broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-2. As for Owasso, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 18-1.

Carl Albert wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Jenks on the 29th. As for Owasso, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Grant at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Owasso is facing Grant at the right time seeing as Grant is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
