Miami took a eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Oologah, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wardogs won by a run and slipped past the Mustangs 3-2. This was payback for the Wardogs, who suffered an 8-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Miami saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trevor Henry, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Miami's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Oologah, they moved to 3-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
