Volleyball Recap: Artesia Has No Trouble Against Alamogordo

Artesia won the last time they faced Alamogordo and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bulldogs blew past the Tigers 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

While Artesia won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 27-25, 25-13.

Kailee Padilla paced Artesia's offense, picking up 12 kills. Padilla got some help from Kirklyn Miller and her 19 assists. Miller also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Avery Frederick, racking up two apiece.

Artesia's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Alamogordo, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Artesia will square off against Roswell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alamogordo, they will face off against Silver at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
