The Davis Darts will head out on the road to face off against the Farmington Phoenix at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Thursday, Davis came up short against Weber and fell 3-1.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 17-25, 25-17, 25-10.
Despite the defeat, Davis had strong showings from Claire Shupe, who had six digs and two aces, and Kate Donigan, who had eight assists and three digs.
Meanwhile, Farmington didn't have quite enough to beat Weber on Tuesday and fell 3-2.
Farmington started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 24-26, 23-25, 25-14, 25-21, 15-13.
Farmington dropped their record down to 6-14 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Davis, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Davis has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.2 aces per game. However, it's not like Farmington struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Davis beat Farmington 3-1 when the teams last played back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Darts since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
