            Football Recap: Vero Beach Indians vs. Buchholz Bobcats        
        
		
        
        
            Vero Beach faced Buchholz in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Indians secured  a  28-24 W over the Bobcats. For the Indians, this counts as revenge for the   38-23 win the Bobcats walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in August of 2024.
  Efrem White went supernova, throwing for 321 yards and three  TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 92 yards and one  score. Vero Beach's leading receiver  Xavier Stinson was  White's top target yet again, picking up 88 receiving yards and one  touchdown.
 Buchholz lost  despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was   Justin Williams, who picked up 97 receiving yards, and also rushed for 44 yards and one  TD. Another player making a difference was  Andrew Whittemore, who threw for 179 yards and one  touchdown.
Vero Beach has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those  victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 34.5 points this season. As for Buchholz, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vero Beach will challenge Cocoa at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Buchholz, they will face off against Eastside at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.
