Softball Recap: American Leadership Academy Comes Up Short

American Leadership Academy's last matchup with Juan Diego Catholic could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Thursday. The Eagles lost 20-1 to the Soaring Eagle. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Soaring Eagle: they've now lost seven in a row.

American Leadership Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Hiss, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

American Leadership Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Juan Diego Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

American Leadership Academy is taking a road trip to challenge Provo at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Juan Diego Catholic, they will be playing at home against Providence Hall at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Soaring Eagle have won three straight at home, while the Patriots won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
