Softball Game Preview: Alexander Spartans vs. Oak Hill Oaks

The Alexander Spartans will venture away from home to challenge the Oak Hill Oaks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alexander comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Meigs hit Alexander with a four-run sixth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Spartans lost 7-1 to the Marauders. The game marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Jordan Sheets and Kaylee Hudnall stepped up to the plate in a big way. Sheets went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run, while Hudnall went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Sheets is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Gwen Dunfee also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Oak Hill came up short against Clay on Friday, falling 15-2. The Oaks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Oak Hill's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Alexander, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.
