Basketball Recap: Maplewood Baptist Academy Extends Winning Streak to Four

Maplewood Baptist Academy waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They took down the North Michigan Christian Academy Comets 66-49. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Black Bears also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Maplewood Baptist Academy pushed their record up to 13-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for North Michigan Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maplewood Baptist Academy will welcome Alanson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Maplewood Baptist Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 contests -- so hopefully Alanson likes a good challenge. As for North Michigan Christian Academy, they will take on Traverse City HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
