Baseball Game Preview: Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders vs. Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers

Bishop Guilfoyle is 0-3 against Philipsburg-Osceola since May of 2024 but things could change on Monday. The Marauders will welcome the Mountaineers at 4:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Bishop Guilfoyle came up short against Penn Cambria and fell 8-4.

Jesse Georgianna was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Philipsburg-Osceola, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Central Cambria on Thursday, sneaking past 6-4.

Nick DeSimone spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits.

At the plate, Philipsburg-Osceola got a big performance out of Fischer White, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI and one double. Archer Baughman was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Bishop Guilfoyle's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Philipsburg-Osceola, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4.
