Basketball Game Preview: Twin Lakes Indians vs. Lafayette Central Catholic Knights

Twin Lakes is 2-8 against Lafayette Central Catholic since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Twin Lakes Indians will face off against the Lafayette Central Catholic Knights at 7:30 p.m. Lafayette Central Catholic took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Twin Lakes, who comes in off a win.

Twin Lakes is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Frontier to the tune of 56-17 on Tuesday. The Indians pushed the score to 49-17 by the end of the third, a deficit the Falcons had no chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, Lafayette Central Catholic entered their match against Rensselaer Central on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Lafayette Central Catholic took a 54-39 bruising from Rensselaer Central. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Bombers are ranked 20th).

The win made it two in a row for Twin Lakes and bumps their season record up to 5-12. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-4.

Twin Lakes came up short against Lafayette Central Catholic in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 49-40. Can Twin Lakes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
