Softball Recap: Manor New Tech Comes Up Short

Manor New Tech and Wimberley squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Manor New Tech had to settle for second. They came up short against the Texans, falling 16-0. Manor New Tech has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Manor New Tech saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexis Martinez-Zambrano, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Martinez-Zambrano is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Manor New Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6-1. As for Wimberley, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-16 record.

While Manor New Tech had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
