Archbishop Hoban took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They put the hurt on North with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Lakeside got the win against Ellet on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

One reason for the win was Lakeside's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 25-16.

Archbishop Hoban's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5. As for Lakeside, their victory bumped their record up to 11-12.
