Basketball Recap: Concordia Lutheran Starts off Right with Win over Texas Truth Homeschool

Concordia Lutheran took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They blew past the Texas Truth HomeSchool Truth, posting a 72-42 win. The Crusaders not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since December 19, 2024 (when they won 80-25).

Concordia Lutheran's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elijah Boyd, who shot 64% from the field on his way to 16 points in addition to eight boards and six assists. Ghaven Mittal was another key player, dropping a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds.

Concordia Lutheran smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Concordia Lutheran and Texas Truth HomeSchool will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Crusaders see the court they'll take on Cooper at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Texas Truth HomeSchool, their break will end when they face Legacy Prep Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th.
