Volleyball Recap: Vanguard Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Vanguard Academy took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Freedom Prep Academy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Knights came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eagles on Thursday, sneaking past 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Vanguard Academy was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 20-25, 17-25, 25-23, 15-11.

Brayson Taylor paced Vanguard Academy's offense, picking up 18 kills. Taylor got some help from Ben Kingston and his 37 assists. Bridger Tucker controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Vanguard Academy now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Freedom Prep Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6.
