Basketball Game Preview: Millennium Tigers vs. Sunnyslope Vikings

The Millennium Tigers will venture away from home to face off against the Sunnyslope Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Millennium's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Millennium is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Brophy College Prep, who was ranked 20th at the time (Millennium was ranked second). Millennium took down Brophy College Prep 93-79 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sunnyslope, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 71-42 victory over Desert Vista.

Millennium's win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 86.7 points per game. As for Sunnyslope, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Millennium beat Sunnyslope 74-66 when the teams last played on Thursday. The rematch might be a little tougher for Millennium since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
