Football Recap: South Jefferson Falls Despite Big Games from Nick Denering and Brayden Miick + How To Watch

South Jefferson lost against Homer back in October of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Spartans fell 32-27 to the Trojans.

Brayden Miick and Nick Denering certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Miick threw for 187 yards and three touchdowns, while Denering rushed for 135 yards and one TD.

South Jefferson dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Homer, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, South Jefferson will head out to take on Cortland at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans will be up against the Purple Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.75 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Homer, they will welcome New Hartford at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
