Basketball Recap: High Point Baptist Academy Piles Up the Points Against Conestoga Christian

High Point Baptist Academy waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Conestoga Christian Cougars 71-43. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 25 points or more this season.

High Point Baptist Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nick Harris out in front who went 10 for 14 on his way to 21 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Those 21 points gave Harris a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mason Rogers, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards.

Harris wasn't the only one working in the assists department: High Point Baptist Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 27 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Josh Boutaugh and Wyatt Shrom certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Boutaugh went 6 of 14 en route to 18 points and six rebounds, while Shrom went 6 for 12 on his way to 17 points. Boutaugh's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

High Point Baptist Academy's record now sits at 6-1. As for Conestoga Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

High Point Baptist Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 79-55 victory against New Covenant Christian on the 13th. Conestoga Christian has also already played their next contest, a 64-61 win against Lititz Christian on the 15th.
