Basketball Game Preview: Space Coast Vipers vs. Titusville Terriers

Space Coast and Titusville are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Space Coast Vipers will head out to square off against the Titusville Terriers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Space Coast is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Saturday, Space Coast had to suffer through a 78-38 loss at the hands of Mater Lakes Academy.

Despite the loss, Space Coast saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Phillayjah Carroll posted 25 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zanya Smith, who put up eight points.

Meanwhile, Titusville posted their closest win since December 4, 2024 on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Edgewood 28-25.

Space Coast's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Titusville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Space Coast against Titusville in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 64-36 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Space Coast since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
