Soccer Recap: George C. Marshall Comes Up Short

After flying high against South Lakes last Monday, George C. Marshall came back down to earth. The Statesmen took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Centreville Wildcats on Thursday. George C. Marshall were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Centreville apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

George C. Marshall now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Centreville, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

George C. Marshall has already played their next matchup (against Alexandria City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Centreville, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Oakton at 7:15 p.m. on the 22nd. The contest will give Centreville their first taste of in-conference action this season.
