The Pleasant Hope Pirates entered their tilt with the School of the Ozarks Patriots with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Pleasant Hope walked away with a 50-41 win over School of the Ozarks on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Pleasant Hope also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Graham Wilhoit, who scored 8 points along with 13 rebounds. Scott Carswell was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 8 rebounds.
Pleasant Hope's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for School of the Ozarks, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Pleasant Hope will be playing in front of their home fans against Summit Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Missouri (Summit Christian Academy is ranked 82nd, while Pleasant Hope is ranked 71st). As for School of the Ozarks, they will head out on the road to face off against Green Forest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Green Forest is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.7 points per game.
