Basketball Recap: Huntington North Comes Up Short

Huntington North lost against Bellmont back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Huntington North Vikings took a 32-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bellmont Braves. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Braves are ranked 18th).

This is the second loss in a row for Huntington North and nudges their season record down to 12-8. As for Bellmont, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Huntington North won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cathedral at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bellmont, they will host Angola at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
