Baseball Recap: St. Henry Crusaders vs. Covington Catholic Colonels

St. Henry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 11-3 to the Covington Catholic Colonels. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Colonels this season, with their most recent defeat being a 9-0 loss on Tuesday.

Jackson Popil was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Another player making a difference was Gage Peace, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

St. Henry's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Covington Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-9.

Coming up, St. Henry will face off against Simon Kenton at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Covington Catholic, they will square off against Highlands at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
