Softball Recap: Downsville Demons vs. Southwood Cowboys
Downsville was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Southwood on Thursday. Downsville blew past Southwood 20-3. That looming 20-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Demons yet this season.
Shiloh Walsworth was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Walsworth was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Abbie Barkley looked comfortable as she scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in earned runs (zero).
