Volleyball Recap: Sycamore Wins Going Away Against Scott

Sycamore had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Scott on Monday. The Aviators were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Eagles.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-13, 25-20.

Scott's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Tetzel, who had 13 digs and one assist. Tetzel is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Maxwell Egersdorfer, who had four assists and three digs.

Sycamore pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Scott, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13-1 record this season.

Sycamore will square off against Lakota East at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Scott does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
