Volleyball Recap: Anelise Campos Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Humphreys Able Charter

Vanguard College Prep won the last time they faced Humphreys Able Charter and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lions put the hurt on the Legacy with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Vanguard College Prep walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-18, 25-12.

Vanguard College Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anelise Campos, who had five aces. Those five aces gave Campos a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ingrid Rosas, who had six kills and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Vanguard College Prep was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in seven consecutive matches.

Vanguard College Prep's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Humphreys Able Charter, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Vanguard College Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Humphreys Able Charter, they will take on Delta Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
