Basketball Game Preview: Peshtigo Bulldogs vs. Gillett Tigers

The Peshtigo Bulldogs will face off against the Gillett Tigers at 12:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Peshtigo is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Southern Door 68-43 on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Gillett came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Eagles 74-36. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 25 points or more this season.

Gillett's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points per game. As for Peshtigo, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Peshtigo didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Gillett in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 41-36 win. Will Peshtigo repeat their success, or does Gillett have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
