Baseball Recap: Paynesville Comes Up Short

Paynesville was the 10-3 winner over Holdingford when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Huskers by a score of 8-7 on Thursday. Bulldogs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Huskers since on Thursday.

This is the second loss in a row for Paynesville and nudges their season record down to 6-6. As for Holdingford, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Huskers beat Paynesville by a score of 7-6 later that day.
